About East Sooke Regional Park

East Sooke Regional Park is one of Vancouver Island's most spectacular coastal parks, featuring 50 kilometers of rugged coastline along the Juan de Fuca Strait. This 1,422-hectare park offers dramatic sea cliffs, secluded beaches, and ancient Douglas fir forest.

The park's diverse ecosystems include old-growth forest, Garry oak meadows, and rocky shoreline. Visitors can explore over 50 kilometers of interconnected trails, from easy beach walks to challenging coastal routes with stunning ocean views.

East Sooke is renowned for its wildlife viewing opportunities, including orcas, seals, and over 200 bird species. The park's remote location and pristine wilderness make it a favorite among serious hikers and nature photographers.

Getting There

From Victoria, take Highway 14 west to Sooke, then follow East Sooke Road to the park entrances. Multiple access points available including Aylard Farm, Pike Road, and Anderson Cove.

Tip

Aylard Farm entrance has the largest parking area and easiest beach access.
