About Miracle Beach Provincial Park

Miracle Beach Provincial Park lives up to its name with one of Vancouver Island's most beautiful sandy beaches. Located along the eastern shore of Vancouver Island near Campbell River, this popular park combines stunning coastal scenery with excellent recreational facilities.

The park features over two kilometers of sandy beach backed by mixed forest of Douglas fir, western hemlock, and western red cedar. The warm waters of the Strait of Georgia make swimming particularly enjoyable during summer months, while the beach provides endless opportunities for beachcombing, sandcastle building, and relaxation.

Miracle Beach is renowned for its outstanding nature interpretation programs, offering visitors educational experiences about local ecosystems, wildlife, and coastal environments. The park serves as an excellent base for exploring the Campbell River area and northern Vancouver Island.

Best Time to Visit

Summer months (June-September) offer the warmest water temperatures and best beach conditions. The park is popular with families during summer, so book camping reservations well in advance.

Getting There

From Campbell River, take Highway 19 south for approximately 25 km. Turn east on Miracle Beach Drive and follow signs to the park entrance.
